Great Southern Railway - The Ghan
Experience one of the most fascinating rail journeys in the world from Adelaide or Alice Springs to Manguri rail siding (46km west of Coober Pedy) on the legendary Ghan.

One Way Rail Fare: A$358** per person (based on Red Kangaroo Seat)
*Not available for getting to the Great Australian Outback Cattle Drive. You will need to fly up on Regional Express, take the Drovers Express Coach, or self drive. **A fuel surcharge of A$8 is not included in the fare. Upgrades prices are available. Prices quoted are AUD per person and include GST.
Please note you will require a stopover in Coober Pedy on selected tours: Dawn of the Cattle Drive & Ringers Run - two nights pre and post your Great Australian Outback Cattle Drive tour. Kidman Country - one night stop over pre your Great Australian Outback Cattle Drive tour.

Adelaide Parklands Terminal
The Adelaide Parklands Terminal is located on Richmond Road, Keswick approximately five kilometres west of Adelaide's city centre.
GETTING THERE
Taxi
A taxi journey from the city centre to the Adelaide Parklands Terminal takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes, with a metered fare of approximately AUD10.00, depending on the time of day.
Airport Bus
Skylink Adelaide offers a regular service between the Adelaide airport, the Adelaide Parklands Terminal, Adelaide city centre and many accommodation properties. A one way journey is approximately 15 minutes at a cost of AUD$8.50. Services operate approximately every 20 minutes. For timetables and further information please refer to www.skylinkadelaide.com
IMPORTANT GSR INFORMATION
Checking In
Guests are required to be at the departure station at least one hour prior to the scheduled train departure time. Your ticket will be checked against a guest list before boarding the train. Guests who need to collect their ticket or with luggage to check-in will need to visit the ticket counter. A luggage receipt will be issued which is needed to collect your luggage at your destination.
Baggage Allowance
A total of 40kg of checked-in luggage per guest is allowed (2 items not exceeding 20kg each and 180 linear centimetres). Note: checked-in luggage cannot be accessed during the journey.
On-Board The Ghan
Only Visa, Mastercard, Diners and Bankcard are accepted on board the trains. Guests are advised to bring cash for the journey to buy drinks, snacks etc. Travellers Cheques are not accepted and EFTPOS is not available.
Red Kangaroo Service guests are provided soap and towels. Guests need to supply their own toiletries, rug and pillow as these are not supplied on the trains.
