Bridie Ferguson - Drover

Bridie Ferguson grew up on a station east of Leigh Creek in the Northern Flinders Ranges, South Australia and is the younger sister of fellow droving team member Corey.

Since leaving school she has spent most of her time on cattle stations in South Australia, the Channel Country Queensland and the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

She is no stranger to the event, having been a part of the droving team on The Great Australian Cattle Drive in 2005 from Birdsville to Marree. In 2005, Baz Luhrmann visited The Great Australian Outback Cattle Drive as part of a scoping exercise for Australia the Movie. It was here that he saw Bridie in action. She went on to work on the movie as a cattle stockman. Since then, Bridie has gone on to work on a number of other movies including Beneath Hill 60 (2010), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and Australia (2008).
