Adam Litchfield - Drover

The eyes of the nation were on Adam Litchfield, of Willalo, between Booborowie and Hallett, when he carried the Melbourne Cup down the straight before the big race in 2009.

Adam originally hails from Wilpoorinna Station near Marree, South Australia where he lived and worked with his parents.

Adam is an extremely experienced stockman, the next generation of drovers having learned the art from the generations before him. His friendly nature makes him a good conversationalist, always ready to share a tale or two.

Adam Litchfield is no stranger to cattle drives, having played key roles on past events, and was the head stockman on the set of Australia the movie and starred as the lead in The Discovery Channel documentary Outback Cowboys in 2006.
